  • THE ORIGIN

Coffee arrived in Alta Mogiana in the second half of the 19th century, brought by large landowners seeking new fertile lands to cultivate. To transport the sacks of coffee to the port of Santos, from which this variety still takes its name, a dedicated railway was built in 1872: the Mogiana Railway Company. A railway created for coffee. A detail that demonstrates how much this region has built its identity around this plant.

Today, Alta Mogiana is located in the state of São Paulo, on hills between 1,200 and 1,300 meters above sea level. This hilly region enjoys a mild climate, seasonal rainfall, and rich soil that restores the bean's natural complexity.

The Santos NY2 Fine Cup is the result of this perfect balance between land, altitude and tradition.

NY2 indicates the quality grade, minimal defects, rigorous selection, clean cup.

Fine Cup certifies sensory excellence: it's not enough to grow well, you also have to taste it well, before it deserves this classification.

From the Port of Santos to our hands. From our roastery to your cup.
